All extraction systems manufactured and supplied by Filtermist are classed as Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV).

LEV systems are an engineering control used to reduce exposures to airborne contaminants and form part of the Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) ‘Hierarchy of Controls’. This hierarchy should be referred to when protecting workers from any identified risk. It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure they are implementing suitable control measures for their organisation’s specific circumstances.

More information on the Hierarchy of Controls in relation to COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) Regulations can be found on the HSE website.
