Filtermist support teams fired up following Conference

Filtermist’s first ever off-site Conference for its Support Teams was held yesterday and deemed a resounding success. Facilitated by Commercial Director Jo Morris, and opened by CEO James Stansfield, the Conference aimed to help build stronger inter-departmental relationships to ensure Filtermist delivers the best customer service possible.

Delegates attended from departments including finance, supply chain, customer care, projects, marketing and the shop floor for a full day which included a motivational session focussing on how to prioritise where time is spent, as well as interactive group activities looking at identified issues and potential resolutions.

Jo Morris comments, ‘This Conference brought colleagues together who wouldn’t necessarily speak to each other in the course of their day jobs. This helps to foster a wider understanding of other people’s perspectives and pain points which is vital if we want to deliver a first-class service to our customers. Understanding the impact on other departments of even seemingly small changes can make a vast difference to the outcomes of projects of all sizes.

‘We have an amazing team, and it was fabulous to take time out from the day to day running of the business to really focus on how we can work better together.’

Comments in feedback gathered at the end of the day included ‘It is refreshing to see the other sides of people away from the office’, ‘I really enjoyed the workshop. Totally not what I expected, and I think it was really beneficial’, ‘Best one yet – such enthusiasm and commitment, and everyone open to change’, ‘Gave me lots to think about both during the day and after’, ‘Really enjoyed the session. Great to see the humanity in people – inspires me to be more confident.’
